Our Board Certified Medical Directors facilitate a caring environment and lead our team to provide comprehensive treatment tailored to meet your needs and desires. They monitor every patient’s changing conditions and adjust individualized medical care instantly. They also meet regularly with our care team to discuss care updates, patient by patient.

Lisa, RN, CHPN

Administrator

I have been caring for patients the past 29 years. For the past 24 years, my roles in hospice work have included direct patient care, director of clinical services, hospice administrator, hospice clinical and regulatory specialist for hospice and director of pharmacy. Whether I’ve been at the bedside caring for a handful of patients, overseeing on-call services for 500+ patients, or overseeing pharmacy, medical supplies and durable medical equipment for 13,000 hospice patients, I aim at treating every situation as unique and with the deepest attention. This is reflected in the care our patients and their families receive today at Comfort Care.

My love and interest for hospice care began while I was working in oncology; I met a hospice nurse who carefully coordinated every step of care transition for a family transferring from the hospital to hospice care. I was instantly enamored with the level of care she gave to the patient and family, as well as the myriad of service benefits she offered to them in their own home. I became a hospice nurse and haven’t looked back. This is my calling. This is my passion.

In my free time I enjoy cooking, more specifically, international cooking, but don’t be mistaken – I’m a Texas girl through and through. My husband and I, along with our three sons, enjoy calling the DFW area our home.

Abraham Mijares, JD

After earning my Juris Doctor Law degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Psychology, the past decade of my career has been focused on the health care sector with emphasis in advising patients in hospice and home health services. My approach to patient care comes from my close working relationship with internal medicine doctors, cardiologists, family practice doctors, long-term care facilities (LTAC’s), hospitals and skilled nursing facilities (SNF’s). My business experience also includes advising doctors and facilities in home respiratory medical equipment and services. I believe that my experience uniquely places me in a position to support Comfort Care Hospice patients and their families with exceptional advice and superior quality care.

Wesly Cherian

During the past 5 years of working in home health and hospice healthcare, I've learned to distinguish good care from exceptional care. When my grandparents were given a life limiting diagnosis, I brought them to Comfort Care Hospice.

The loving approach from every member of the staff combined with proven methodology, deep medical expertise, and around the clock care my family received from the Comfort Care team impacts my work as a Transitional Care Consultant to this day. Receiving hospice care for my grandparents was a true privilege. I know first-hand how people’s lives are changed by our work, and it is my hope to help bring to more patients and their families the clarity and safety resulting from what I believe is among the best end-of-life care providers in existence today.

Jay Clinton

I am the oldest of five brothers. I graduated high school in 1990 and decided to turn down a football scholarship to join the U.S. Marine Corps. I consider my passion to serve the families every day to be a calling. When I was in high school, my brother was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and we encountered hospice for the first time. The hospice team treated us like family and when my brother passed, they were there for us even after his death. When I was a Marine, I walked into the service as a calling to serve America. I knew what I was committing to and served faithfully to that commitment. Today, my calling is hospice. My calling is to our patients, families and our team.

Spiritual Support

Jeff Taylor, M.Div.

What a privilege the past 11 years have been as I serve alongside the Silverstone Healthcare team to help guide patients to a place of spiritual health by helping them see the value of life. I attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and when I was invited to help a new hospice serve patients, I decided to further my education with graduate work. To better prepare myself for my role in the end of life process for others, I completed my MA and M.Div. in Marketplace Chaplaincy, as well as three continuing education courses. It is my honor to be invited by several of the families I have served to conduct memorial services for their loved ones. What an honor it is to be a chaplain and work alongside a caring staff.

Community Outreach Team and Volunteering

Stella Albury

I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Silverstone Healthcare. I became a hospice volunteer in 2017 because I believe I have a calling from God to help people transition with peace and dignity. I began working in the field so that I could recruit new volunteers to share the wonderful experience that is hospice.

I was born and raised on the South coast of England and emigrated to the USA with my husband in 1980. I have two daughters and a grandson. One of my daily joys is my swims at the local pool and consistently practising yoga throughout the week, but my favorite way to spend my leisure time is with my precious grandson. I love to travel and my happy place is always in, on or next to an ocean.

Nischelle Reagan

It’s an honor to serve as the Community Outreach Manager.

My introduction to hospice care began at the age of five while caring for my grandmother who was given a terminal cancer diagnosis. I remember putting toothpaste on her toothbrush, gathering the washcloth and bringing both to her hospital bed each morning. We received the hospice team into our family farm house and they supported us in ways we didn’t even know we needed during this time. When I went to college, I became a vigil volunteer for the local hospice and developed a deeper understanding of the sanctity of life and the healing power of our presence. I have a passion to see the DFW community interconnected with end of life care in a wide variety of possibilities that bring unique support, love and intentional personalized care to our families and patients.
